Ministry Is Based On Truth
“In a world full of opinions and shifting beliefs, only truth stands unshaken—and ministry must be built upon it, Ministry Is Based On Truth.”
“SO STAND FIRM AND HOLD YOUR GROUND, HAVING TIGHTENED THE WIDE BAND OF TRUTH (PERSONAL INTEGRITY, MORAL COURAGE) AROUND YOUR WAIST and having put on the breastplate of righteousness (an upright heart), [Is 11:5]” Ephesians 6:14 AMP
When it comes to truth, it would surprise us both how truth has been watered down, and falsehood is frequently honored in its place.
Dear servant of God, enough of this ridiculous testimony.
We are not in Disneyland or enjoying a Bollywood movie, you know. Recently, I was reminiscing on how Chinese movies used to make us shout and wonder, “Kia,” do you remember how the actors would be jumping on leaves as though it’s a staircase? Do you remember how they would be flying as though they were Superman? We all enjoyed those movies. I, for one, was and still am very excited when I watch those kinds of films. For some reason, though, the Indians have gone ahead to raise the bar when it comes to giving us lies. Their movies are so filled with mind blowing graphics, I give them kudos for that. However, be it known to you that it’s not real; it’s a figment of someone’s fantasy.
I can liken us sometimes to these movies. When a servant of God speaks, it should be truth. We must be weary of pressures that make us forge lies just to excite the congregants. We must say the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth, Ministry Is Based On Truth.
Don’t say you saw Jesus when you didn’t see Him. (I know you just wanted the people to pay attention to you.)
Don’t say you healed an HIV patient when in fact you just prayed for the person, trusting God to be the healer. (I know you just want to stir the faith of the people.)
Don’t say a person sowed some seeds to you, and suddenly, like in a typical Indian movie, someone just gave them a great, mouth-watering gift. (I know you want them to believe in the God who prospers when they give.)
Enough of lies that make us sick.
Enough of lies on the pulpit that make us believe in fantasy and not in God.
Enough of the exaggerated truth that makes us delusional.
Enough of conspiracy theories laced with spiritualism that make the congregation go rogue, Ministry Is Based On Truth.
Don’t say a person gets healed when they are just still acting in faith.
Don’t say you raised the dead when, in actual fact, they slept too long, and you just happened to be around when they woke up.
Do not spiritualize lies.
Do not give a place to falsehood, Ministry Is Based On Truth
Be honorable.
Be truthful.
Be transparent.
The Lord bless you.
