Ministry Must Be Rooted in Conviction
“Ministry Must Be Rooted in Conviction, In a world where ministries are often built on charisma, trends, or popularity, only those grounded in deep, unwavering conviction stand the test of time. Discover why conviction isn’t just a nice-to-have—it’s the foundation of a ministry that truly honors God and transforms lives.”
“The confidence of my calling enables me to overcome every difficulty without shame, for I have an intimate revelation of this God. AND MY FAITH IN HIM CONVINCES ME that he is more than able to keep all that I’ve placed in his hands safe and secure until the fullness of his appearing.” 2 Timothy 1:12 TPT
Without conviction, a person called into ministry will drift at sea.
Without conviction, a man who claims to be in ministry will allow troubles and challenges faced on the road to be his guiding light. Without conviction, you will question all that you once held dear.
Conviction in ministry should not be overlooked when making any decision that concerns ministry. Conviction in ministry is truly the anchor that holds a minister.
Conviction is what guarantees that a person put in charge of any aspect of the work of ministry is even qualied to do so.
Conviction is your safety net against backsliding.
“But thou hast fully known my doctrine, manner of life, purpose, faith, longsuffering, charity, patience, But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them;” 2 Timothy 3:10, 14 KJV
It is only a person who is convinced that can follow through with something, a person, a cause, or a vision to its logical conclusion.
Being convinced starts with doctrine, not emotions, logic, not sensationalism.
A minister whom you want to appoint as an associate in your ministerial endeavor will not be loyal or committed if they lack enough knowledge about your life. They will fall for every lie, aspersion, and suspicion that ever shows up.
A minister who lacks patience could be reflective of a lack of conviction concerning what he or she is involved in.
If you find it hard to be stable, and consistent at what you do in the ministry, today you are here, tomorrow you are there, it could be reflective that you are not as deeply rooted in your conviction about what you do for the Lord or what He has asked you to do.
A person who is convinced has already conquered many foes unknown to him.
A person who is convinced has already won many invincible battles he or she is yet to realize.
A person who is convinced is dependable.
A person who is convinced has the moral fortitude to choose his or her relationships.
A person who is convinced is not confused; they know what they want.
“Therefore, my beloved brothers and sisters, be STEADFAST, immovable, always excelling in the work of the Lord [always doing your best and doing more than is needed], being continually aware that your labor [even to the point of exhaustion] in the Lord is not futile nor wasted [it is never without purpose].” 1 Corinthians 15:58 AMP
To be steadfast is to be convinced.
To be steadfast is to be unwavering.
To be steadfast is to be resolute (you are not going back and forth on your decisions or what you believe).
To be steadfast is to be loyal.
To be steadfast means you are not subject to changes (not that you are not flexible or innovative).
As I conclude, I want to go back to a word picture: ANCHOR.
An anchor is a heavy, hooked object that is dropped from a boat into the water at the end of a chain to make the boat stay in one place. That is the idea that gave birth to the word steadfast or conviction. It speaks, as said, of being immovable, always abounding in every good work. Ministry Must Be Rooted in Conviction.
Dear servant of God, this is a strong character trait we must seek to develop or look for when it comes to the work of the ministry. Let’s not go for wishy-washy people; let’s not tolerate among us yoyo people. Let’s go for people who know what they want, know what they believe, and go for it! Ministry Must Be Rooted in Conviction.
A SIDE NOTE: Don’t commit to anything because it’s easy; commit because you are convinced. Many people change their vision because of circumstances; stay through after the excitement has faded.
