Education In The Church
“Biblical knowledge transforms lives — here’s why Education In The Church matters more than ever.”
“For because of Him the whole body (the church, in all its various parts), closely joined and firmly knit together by the joints and ligaments with which it is supplied, when each part [with power adapted to its need] is working properly [in all its functions], grows to full maturity, building itself up in love.”
Ephesians 4:16 AMPC
The church is the body of Christ. The church can be likened to a human body with many parts, organs, nerves, cells and all. The church is not only dependent on Christ the head of the church for proper functionality but also is interdependent on other parts of the body to fully fulfill divine purpose.
Each part is not equal in size, function or specification, yet they complement not compete. There is only power available for specific functions when the part of the body needed to run that function contributes its share adequately, exactly what is needed to make the other parts function seamlessly. The local assembly is just like that, it grows by unique administration of each part. It is established by the exact distribution of each part, Education In The Church.
It is divinely supernatural by the commitment of each part. The local church rises or falls, not because of merely sin or external factors, but by the negligence of various parts of the body and its effective administration and distribution. We would therefore be considering another part of the human body that without which, there will certainly be death within the body, Education In The Church is essential.
THE DIGESTIVE SYSTEM
It is an organ in the body that takes in food and liquid and breaks them down for energy, growth and tissue repair in the body.
Tissues are a group of cells that work together to perform specific functions. Whilst tissue repair in the body is the restoration of tissue function and architecture after an injury.
FUNCTIONS
1. Ingestion: Eating and swallowing of food. It is also the taking in of food.
2. Digestion: Breaking down of food.
3. Secretion: The release of enzymes for food breakdown.
4. Absorption: Nutrients obtained from the breakdown of food are absorbed into the body, in order to carry out their various nutritional functions.
5. Excretion: The release of unwanted and toxic substances from the body. In essence, the digestive system starts from the mouth to the throat, then to the stomach and finally to the anus.
HOW IT RELATES TO THE MINISTRY
“And I will give you [spiritual] shepherds after My own heart [in the final time], who will feed you with knowledge and understanding and judgment.”
Jeremiah 3:15 AMPC
One of the systems God puts in place and expects all local assemblies or ministries to institute is the system of education. Here, God deliberately purposed that he would not only give us pastors who can:
Care for us.
Prophesy to us.
Advise us.
Pray for us.
Conduct our marriage ceremonies.
But also who can.…
Teach us.
Train us.
Enable our understanding.
Help us with the right information to make good decisions about issues.
This particular aspect, if lacking in the structure or system of a local church or ministry, it would produce:
• Weak members
• Gullible members.
• Myopic members.
• Unserious members.
• Uncommitted members.
• Disloyal members.
• Unspiritual members.
• Failed members.
• Poor members.
• Critical members.
• Backslidden members.
Easily impressionable. And the list goes on…
However, the lord desires that these aforementioned issues should not come up or even be named among us, so he instituted the educational arm of the church of Jesus Christ.
