Contend With Him In Battle
”Every breakthrough is preceded by a battle—and every battle has an opponent. Whether it’s fear, doubt, temptation, adversary in ministry, you weren’t meant to back down. You were built to Contend With Him In Battle. The question is: will you rise to meet your opposition or let it define you?”
Then God Said, ‘go across Arnon valley. Look, I HAVE GIVEN YOU THE LAND OF SIHON, the Amorite. He is the king of Heshbon. YOU MUST GO AND FIGTH AGAINST HIM. ATTACK HIM AND TAKE HIS LAND FOR YOURSELVES.”
Deuteronomy 2:24 (EASY)
Interestingly, God said to Moses I am giving you new territories, Infact it is yours for the taking. However, the enemy will not allow a peaceful handover of the land, leadership, authority and resources without a fight, so God told him, go and f ight, engage him In ceaseless, relentless battle until he submits and hands over his land, leadership, resources, people and authority to you. Likewise, there is no peaceful handover of any land, people, nation, resources and authority without a fierce fight for freedom, possession, re-possession and influence, Contend With Him In Battle.
Defensive strategies and movement will always lead to severe beatdown and unquestionable failure. God told Moses; You must go and fight against him. Attack him and take his land for yourselves.” this is telling us about our need to go from defensive to offensive. it is time to stop the cowardly way of operating the kingdom of God – mild and gentle, now it is our place to go passionate and aggressive until we see the manifestations of all God has put In our domain.
There was a reason why God clearly instructed Moses to fight, it’s because of the general assumption, that once it’s God who said it, then it is ours automatically, that’s a wrong assumption the enemy has used consistently, to keep us right where we are; small, insignificant and non-victorious. Consider this scripture:
“This charge and admonition I commit in trust to you, Timothy, my son, in accordance with prophetic intimations which I formerly received concerning you, SO THAT INSPIRED AND AIDED BY THEM, YOU MAY WAGE THE GOOD WARFARE,”
1 Timothy 1:18 (AMPC)
Look at that, the apostle Paul speaking to Timothy says; let this prophecies inspire you to fight until you see every of the prophetic words come to pass, not sitting and waiting for the keys of the nation to fall on your laps. Every prophecy is an invitation from God to Contend With Him In Battle, fight until you possess, overtake, recover all and be all that God wants you to be, doing all that he wants you to do.
My Experience With Territory-Taking Warfare.
On the 9th of March 2023, I was already having my retreat in my usual retreat center and the Lord was already speaking to me. One of the things he shared with me by divine intuition was that we (my ministry team and I) were not meant to restrict our online book sales to Nigerians only, however, we should consider taking it out of the country, then he made mentioned of South Africa. On the 10th of March, as I woke up at midnight to pray, I felt the Lord asking me to rebuke Satan and his activities from my ministry and our bank account.
I did this for almost two hours before going back to bed. However, before that, I couldn’t sleep as the lord stirred up a song in my spirit by LP Aida titled – ‘A great door is opened unto you, but there are many adversaries’. I played that song until I slept off.
We then tried to put the books up for sale in South Africa, but to our shock, astonishment and disturbance, the books weren’t selling. It seemed the people liked the books but were not ready or willing to pay for them, they had a lot of excuses and this didn’t go well with me in particular until one midnight, I heard a short sermon by a great man of God, this confirmed to me what the lord had said earlier during my retreat, he had told me about the door of glory and possibilities….
