TAKING TERRITORIES: BUILDING BUILDINGS!
You don’t just build — you battle. TAKING TERRITORIES: BUILDING BUILDINGS! Every vision worth constructing faces opposition in the spirit first.
Before the foundation is laid, the fight begins. But when God calls you to build, no resistance can stand. It’s time to take territory, tear down strongholds, and raise what the enemy tries to block.
AND the angel who talked with me came again and awakened me, like a man who is wakened out of his sleep. And said to me, What do you see?, I said, I see, and behold, a lampstand all of gold, with its bowl [for oil] on the top of it and its seven lamps on it, and [there are] seven pipes to each of the seven lamps which are upon the top of it. And there are two olive trees by it, one upon the right side of the bowl and the other upon the left side of it [feeding it continuously with oil].
So I asked the angel who talked with me, What are these, my Lord? Then the angel who talked with me answered me, Do you not know what these are? And I said, No, my Lord. Then he said to me, This [addition of the bowl to the candlestick, causing it to yield a ceaseless supply of oil from the olive trees] is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by My Spirit [of Whom the oil is a symbol], says the Lord of hosts. For who are you, O great mountain [of human obstacles]? Before Zerubbabel [who with Joshua had led the return of the exiles from Babylon and was undertaking the rebuilding of the temple, before him] you shall become a plain [a mere molehill]! And he shall bring forth the finishing gable stone [of the new temple] with loud shoutings of the people, crying, Grace, grace to it! Moreover, the word of the Lord came to me, saying, The hands of Zerubbabel have laid the foundations of this house; his hands shall also finish it. Then you shall know (recognize and understand) that the Lord of hosts has sent me [His messenger] to you.”
Zechariah 4 :1-9 (AMPC)
The next fight you must engage in is the fight to build buildings for the lord. These are no mere fights, these are territory-taking fights. Every first-world nations are known for what they build, some build buildings, others build mechanical equipment, and some others build technological powers but one single similarity between all of them is building.
Many of us don’t know that once you build something and you become a consistent builder, there are many invincible wars you have won unknown to you. Every major world religious leaders spend billions of dollars building edifices every year, you know why?, they are fighting and taking over territories, not by violence or blood, but by building. Every successful organization builds to establish permanence and trust. Building houses, offices, churches, machines, and tech apps, are the ways to win an invincible war of territories. TAKING TERRITORIES: BUILDING BUILDINGS!
However, it takes more than sheer zeal to want to build, looking at our opening scripture, it is obvious that there was an invincible hand stopping, frustrating, and slowing down the building process that Zerubbabel was trying to build. Satan was using his men in government who had yielded themselves to be influenced by him, to stop the building process. It took God’s intervention to thwart such a demonic operation.
My dear pastors and all of you involved In the work of the ministry, I’ll like to let you know that once whatever you are trying to build poses a threat to his demonic enterprise, you will be met by a lot of opposition, especially from the government, neighbors, landowners and even your own people or team members. This is the point, you drop all physical attempts and begin spiritual warfare. Consider again the situation of Zerubbabel.
The word of the Lord to Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by My Spirit [of Whom the oil is a symbol], says the Lord of hosts. For who are you, O great mountain [of human obstacles]? Before Zerubbabel [who with Joshua had led the return of the exiles from Babylon and was undertaking the rebuilding of the temple, before him].
God is saying, it won’t be because of military or economic force, that will get this building started and completed. Why? It is because the building is no ordinary building but the house of God, dedicated to doing God’s will on earth! No devil in hell or on earth wants that happening, why?, Once there is a building, then you have taken over a territory and its people. TAKING TERRITORIES: BUILDING BUILDINGS!
