A Short Glance At Compassion: Pulling Up

Brother Martins first attended my meeting at the age of sixteen, he was shy and unassuming. He battled with inferiority complex and family concerns were top on his mind. His father had left his mother and married another woman, who automatically becomes his stepmother. She maltreated him and his younger sister and he feels sad about his condition.

After my first interaction with him , I noticed he was someone who loves the lord and likes to be involved in the work of ministry. I put Bro Martins in charge of the department responsible for the discipleship of student in secondary school, however in his team were people who didn’t like his style of leadership, they were rebellious and frustrated his effort. Before long he succumbed to pressure and inferiority  complex kicked in full force. He started having serious issues, doubts and reluctance crept in.

His friend who invited him, took a back seat, ignored this Brother’s obvious dilemma and avoided Brother Martins like a plague. Unknown to us there was another person in play whispering to Brother Martins ears, confirming his doubt and suspicions.
